We are delighted to announce that Professor Monica Green will be visiting Oxford in her capacity as OCBR Visiting Scholar for 2020. Monica is a historian of medicine and health. She has worked throughout her career in the field of medieval European medical history. In recent years, her interest in the world's leading infectious diseases, many of which owe their global dissemination to epidemiological developments in the Middle Ages, has induced her to expand her teaching and research into Global History.

Monica will be delivering a talk entitled "What Happens When We Expand the Chronology and Geography of Plague’s History?" on 16th March as part of her visit. This will take place 1.15pm in the Outreach Room at the Ioannou Centre. Please see the webpage for further information. All welcome - no booking necessary.

We look forward to welcoming Monica and hope that she enjoys her time at Oxford.
